Welcome to HUB50, the new beating heart of police innovation in Utrecht. And our proud neighbors! Here, where every corner breathes technology, the dynamic “IV Vakdagen” took place. A three-day event for thousands of colleagues from Service IV (Information Provision Service) of the police.
A first-of-its-kind moment
The challenge? Share knowledge, gather insights, and connect with each other—all at a location that had never before been used for events.
And we mean never...
Dienst IV was looking for a partner with expertise in logistical productions at unusual locations and in creating and producing extraordinary impactful experiences. And that's where effectgroep* came in. Figuratively and literally, since we are neighbours!
Who will come out as Sherlock IV?
With the aim The Future is Digital we came up with and produced a real crime scene experience. A unique interactive concept was brought to life. Visitors stepped into a custom-made escape room, becoming sleuths in an immersive quest over the years. They solved mysteries that Service IV has faced over the years. From assignments to the setting: everything developed by our own effectmakers.
Then visit the festival site full of content workshops and meet colleagues. And, of course, to enjoy the catering square.

The HUB50 site transformed into a breeding ground for ideas and encounters. The interactive crime scene experience that we developed especially for Service IV stole the show.
A three-day event that united and entertained! In a place that is not normally an event location. Creativity and unburdening at the production level resulted in a very satisfied client.
